The Dictations · Hadith 285 (#Ḥadīth #6)
Chapter 36 | The Thirty-Sixth Assembly, the Assembly of Tuesday, the Twenty-Sixth of Muharram, 368 AH.
6 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن الحسين بن سيف، عن سلام بن غانم، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليه السلام)، قال: من قال حين يأوي إلى فراشه: لا إله إلا الله، مائة مرة بنى الله له بيتا في الجنة، ومن استغفر حين يأوي إلى فراشه مائة مرة تحاتت ذنوبه كما يسقط ورق الشجر (1).
My father narrated to me. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to me from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa from al-Husayn b. Sayf from Salam b. Ghanim from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said: Whoever says “there is no god but Allah (la ilaha illallah)” one hundred times when he goes to his bed, Allah builds a house for him in Paradise. Whoever repents (istighfar) one hundred times when he goes to his bed, his sins will erode just as the leaves of a tree fall.
