The Dictations · Hadith 315 (#Ḥadīth #6)

6 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن الحسن بن أبان، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن ابن أبي عمير، عن حماد بن عثمان، عن إسماعيل الجعفي: أنه سمع أبا جعفر الباقر (عليه السلام): يقول: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): أعطيت خمسا لم يعطها أحد قبلي: جعلت لي الارض مسجدا وطهورا، وأحل لي المغنم، ونصرت بالرعب، وأعطيت جوامع الكلم، وأعطيت الشفاعة (2).

Muhammad b. al-Hasan narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. al-Hasan b. Aban narrated to us from al-Husayn b. Sa`id from Ibn Abi `Umayr from Hammad b. `Uthman from Isma`il al-Ju`fi. He heard Aba Ja`far al-Baqir say: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: I have been given five things that were not given to anyone before me: (1) The Earth has been made a pure place of prostration (masjid) for me, (2) spoils have been permitted to me, (3) I have been supported by fear, (4) I have been given comprehensive language (jawami` al-kalim), and (5) I have been granted the ability to intercede.
