The Dictations · Hadith 37 (#Ḥadīth #5)

5 - حدثنا حمزة بن محمد بن أحمد بن جعفر بن محمد بن زيد بن علي ابن الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب (عليهم السلام)، قال: أخبرنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن علي بن معبد، عن الحسين بن خالد، عن أبي الحسن علي بن موسى الرضا، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من أحب أن يركب سفينة النجاة، ويستمسك. بالعروة الوثقي، ويعتصم بحبل الله المتين، فليوال عليا بعدي، وليعاد عدوه، وليأتم بالائمة الهداة من ولده، فإنهم خلفائي وأوصيائي وحجج الله على الخلق بعدي، وسادة أمتي، وقادة الاتقياء إلى الجنة، حزبهم حزبي، وحزبي حزب الله وحزب أعدائهم حزب الشيطان (3).

Hamza b. Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Zayd b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father from `Ali b. Mu`abbad from al-Husayn b. Khalid from Abu’l Hasan `Ali b. Musa al-Rida from his father from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever would like to board the Ark of Salvation, grapple onto the Firm Handle, and hold onto the firm Rope of Allah, should align with `Ali after me, oppose his enemy, and accept the Imams of Guidance from his descendants; for surely, they are my vicegerents, my deputies, and the Proofs of Allah over His creation after me. They are the Masters of my Nation and the ones who will lead the pious to Paradise. Their party is my party, and my party is the Party of Allah, and their enemies’ party is the Party of Satan.
