The Dictations · Hadith 411 (#Ḥadīth #4)
Chapter 46 | The Forty-Sixth Assembly, the Assembly of Tuesday, the Second of the Month of Rabi` al-Awwal, 368 AH.
4 - حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن مسرور (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن محمد بن عامر، عن عمه عبد الله بن عامر، عن محمد بن سنان، عن طلحة بن زيد، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): كثرة المزاح تذهب بماء الوجه، وكثرة الضحك تمحو الايمان، وكثرة الكذب تذهب بالبهاء (2).
Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Masrur narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Muhammad b. `Amer narrated to us from his uncle `Abdillah b. `Amer from Muhammad b. Sinan from Talha b. Zayd from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: An abundance of jesting will recede the water in one’s face, and an abundance of laughing will erase one’s faith, and an abundance of lying will diminish one’s radiance.
