The Dictations · Hadith 412 (#Ḥadīth #5)

5 - حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن علي بن معبد، عن الحسين بن خالد، عن أبي الحسن علي بن موسى الرضا عن أبيه عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من كان مسلما فلا يمكر ولا يخدع، فإني سمعت جبرئيل (عليه السلام) يقول: إن المكر والخديعة في النار (3).

Muhammad b. `Ali Majiluwayh narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim from `Ali b. Mu`abbad from al-Husayn b. Khalid from Abi’l Hasan `Ali b. Musa al-Rida from his father from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever is a Muslim should not scheme or deceive others, for surely, I heard Gabriel say: “Scheming and deception are in the Fire.”
