Chapter 49 | The Forty-Ninth Assembly, the Assembly of Friday, the Twelfth of the Month of Rabi` al-Awwal, 368 AH.
7 - حدثنا علي بن الحسين بن شاذويه المؤدب (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن جعفر، قال: حدثني أبي، قال: حدثني هارون بن مسلم، عن مسعدة بن صدقة، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام) قال: قال أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام): ما جمع شئ إلى شئ أفضل من حلم إلى علم (2).
`Ali b. al-Husayn b. Shadhuwayh al-Mu’addab narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abdullah b. Ja`far narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to me. He said: Harun b. Muslim narrated to me from Mas`ada b. Sadaqa from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . He said: Amir al-Mu’minin said: No thing has been added to something that is more virtuous than forbearance added to knowledge.
