The Dictations · Hadith 524 (#Ḥadīth #7)
Chapter 53 | The Fifty-Third Assembly, which is Friday, the Twenty-Sixth of the Month of Rabi` al-Awwal, 368 AH.
7 - حدثنا الحسين بن إبراهيم بن ناتانة (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن الحسن بن علي بن فضال، عن غالب بن عثمان، عن شعيب العقرقوفي، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال: من ملك نفسه إذا رغب، وإذا رهب، وإذا اشتهى، وإذا غضب، وإذا رضي، حرم الله جسده على النار (2).
Al-Hasan b. Ibrahim b. Natana narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father from al-Hasan b. `Ali b. Faddal from Ghalib b. `Uthman from Shu`ayb al-`Aqraqufi from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said: Whomever exercises control over himself when he desires, when he is terrified, when he craves, when he is angry, and when he is pleased, Allah will forbid his body from the Fire.
