The Dictations · Hadith 544 (#Ḥadīth #14)

14 - حدثنا حمزة بن محمد العلوي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثني أبو القاسم عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن القاسم الحسني، قال: حدثني أبو حصين محمد بن الحسين الوادعي القاضي، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن صبيح، عن الحسين بن علوان، عن عمرو بن ثابت، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه (عليهما السلام)، قال: قال لي علي ابن الحسين زين العابدين (عليه السلام) في قول الله عز وجل (فأصفح الصفح الجميل) (3)، قال: العفو من غير عتاب (4).

Hamza b. Muhammad al-`Alawi narrated to us. He said: Abu’l Qasim `Abd al-Rahman b. Muhammad b. al-Qasim al-Hasani narrated to me. He said: Abu Hussayn Muhammad b. al-Husayn al-Wadi`i al-Qadi. He said: Ahmad b. Sabih narrated to us from al-Husayn b. `Ilwan from `Amr b. Thabit from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father . He said: `Ali b. al-Husayn Zayn al-`Abidin said to me, regarding the saying of Allah, “Forgive with gracious forgiveness” (15:85). He said: Forgiveness without blame.
