The Dictations · Hadith 58 (#Ḥadīth #9)

9 - حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر الحميري، وسعد بن عبد الله، عن عمران بن موسى، عن الحسن بن علي بن النعمان، عن محمد بن فضيل، عن غزوان الضبي، قال: أخبرني عبد الرحمن بن إسحاق، عن النعمان بن سعد، عن أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام)، قال: أنا حجة الله، وأنا خليفة الله، وأنا صراط الله، وأنا باب الله، وأنا خازن علم الله، وأنا المؤتمن على سر الله، وأنا إمام البرية بعد خير الخليقة محمد نبي الرحمة (صلى الله عليه وآله) (1).

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Ja`far al-Himyari and Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from `Imran b. Musa from al-Hasan b. `Ali b. al-Nu`man from Muhammad b. Fudayl from Ghazwan al-Dabi. He said: `Abd al-Rahman b. Ishaq informed me from al-Nu`man b. Sa`d from Amir al-Mu’minin . He said: I am the Proof of Allah, the Caliph of Allah, the Path of Allah, the Gate of Allah, the Treasury of Allah’s Knowledge, the Keeper of Allah’s Secret, and the Imam of the World after the Greatest of Creation, Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy (s).
