The Dictations · Hadith 613 (#Ḥadīth #8)
Chapter 60 | The Sixtieth Assembly, the Assembly of Tuesday, the Twenty-Second of the Month of Rabi` al-Akhir, 368 AH.
8 - وبهذا الاسناد، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن سنان، عن عمر بن يزيد، قال: سمعت أبا عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام) يقول: من قدم أربعين رجلا من إخوانه قبل أن يدعو لنفسه، استجيب له فيهم وفي نفسه (4).
And by this isnad. From Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah from his father from Muhammad b. Sinan from `Umar b. Yazid. He said: I heard Aba `Abdillah al-Sadiq say: Whoever prays for forty of his brethren before he prays for himself, it will be granted for them and for him.
