The Dictations · Hadith 68 (#Ḥadīth #8)
Chapter 10 | The Tenth Assembly, which is Tuesday, Ten Days remaining from Sha`ban, 367 AH.
8 - حدثنا أحمد بن هارون (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله، عن أبيه عبد الله بن جعفر بن جامع، عن أحمد بن محمد البرقي، عن هارون بن الجهم، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال: إذا جاهر الفاسق بفسقه فلا حرمة له ولا غيبة (1).
Ahmad b. Harun narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abdullah narrated to us from his father from `Abdullah b. Ja`far b. Jami` from Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Barqi from Harun b. al-Jahm from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said: If a depraved person (fasiq) publicly declares his debauchery, then he has no sanctity and backbiting [him is permissible].
