The Dictations · Hadith 69 (#Ḥadīth #9)

9 - حدثنا الحسين بن أحمد بن إدريس (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد، عن العباس بن معروف، عن محمد بن يحيى الخزاز، عن طلحة بن زيد، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): أتاني جبريل من قبل ربي جل جلاله، فقال: يا محمد، إن الله عزوجل يقرئك السلام ويقول: بشر أخاك عليا بأني لا اعذب من تولاه، ولا أرحم من عاداه (2).

Al-Husayn b. Ahmad b. Idris narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid from al-`Abbas b. Ma`ruf from Muhammad b. Yahya al-Khazzaz from Talha b. Zayd from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad form his father from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Gabriel came to me from Allah and said: “O Muhammad! Surely, Allah recites the salaam to you, and says, ‘Give glad tidings to your brother, `Ali, that I will not punish one who aligns with him, nor will I grant mercy to one who opposes him.’”
