The Dictations · Hadith 692 (#Ḥadīth #10)

10 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله البرقي، عن أبيه، عن غير واحد، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال: لا تغتب فتغتب، ولا تحفر لاخيك حفرة فتقع فيها، فإنك كما تدين تدان (4).

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narated to us from Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Barqi from his father from another person from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said: Do not anger others, or else you will be angered; and do not dig a hole for your brother, or else you will fall in it. Surely, you will reap what you sow.
