The Dictations · Hadith 693 (#Ḥadīth #11)
Chapter 65 | The Sixty-Fifth Assembly, the Assembly of Friday, the Ninth from Jumada al-Ula, 368 AH.
/ 11 - وبهذا الاسناد، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن يزيد، عن إسماعيل بن مسلم، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): الجلوس في المسجد لانتظار الصلاة عبادة ما لم يحدث. قيل: يا رسول الله، وما الحدث؟ قال: الاغتياب (1).
By this isnad from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah. He said: Al-Husayn b. Yazid narrated to us from Isma`il b. Muslim from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Sitting in the mosque waiting for the prayer is worship for one who does not nullify. It was said: O Messenger of Allah! What is the nullifier? He said: Backbiting.
