The Dictations · Hadith 700 (#Ḥadīth #18)

704 705 / 18 - حدثنا أبي، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن سنان، عن طلحة بن زيد، قال: سمعت أبا عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام) يقول: العامل على غير بصيرة كالسائر على غير الطريق ولا يزيده سرعه السير من الطريق إلا بعدا (4).

My father narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid from his father from Muhammad b. Sinan from Talha b. Zayd. He said: I heard Aba `Abdillah al-Sadiq say: One who acts without insight is like one who travels without a path. If he increases his speed in his travel, he only gets further away from the path.
