Chapter 68 | The Sixty-Eighth Assembly, which is the Assembly of Tuesday, Ten Days Remaining from Jumada al-Ula, 368 AH.
2 - حدثنا أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، قال: حدثني أحمد بن محمد بن خالد، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن سنان، عن المفضل بن عمر، قال: قال الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام): من لم يكن له واعظ من قلبه، وزاجر من نفسه ولم يكن له قرين مرشد، استمكن عدوه من عنقه (2).
My father narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid narrated to me from his father from Muhammad b. Sinan from al-Mufaddal b. `Umar. He said: Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad said: Whoever does not have exhortations from his heart, chides from his soul, and a guiding companion has given his enemy a way to his neck.
