The Dictations · Hadith 750 (#Ḥadīth #13)

13 - حدثنا علي بن أحمد بن عبد الله البرقي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، عن محمد بن عيسى بن عبيد، عن أبي محمد الانصاري، عن غير واحد، عن أبي جعفر الباقر (عليه السلام)، قال: من أصبح يجد برد حبنا على قلبه، فليحمد الله على بادئ النعم. قيل: وما بادئ النعم؟ فقال: طيب المولد (2).

Ali b. Ahmad b. `Abdullah al-Barqi narrated to us. He said: My father narratred to us from Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah from Muhammad b. `Isa b. `Ubayd from Abi Muhammad al-Ansari from another person from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir . He said: Whoever awakes and finds the coolness of our love upon his heart should praise Allah for the beginning of blessing. It was said: What is the beginning of blessing? So, he said: A pure birth.
