The Dictations · Hadith 801 (#Ḥadīth #3)

3 - حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا علي بن الحسين السعد آبادي، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن خالد، عن أبيه، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله الدهقان، عن واصل بن سليمان، عن عبد الله بن سنان، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام)، قال: سمعت أبي يحدث عن أبيه (عليهما السلام)، قال: قال النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله): ما من صلاة يحضر وقتها إلا نادى ملك بين يدي الناس: قوموا إلى نيرانكم التي أوقدتموها على ظهوركم فأطفئوها بصلاتكم (1).

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. al-Husayn al-Sa`d Abadi narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid narrated to us from his father from `Abdullah b. `Abdullah al-Dahqan from Wasil b. Sulayman from `Abdullah b. Sinan from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq . He said: I heard my father narrate from his father . He said: The Prophet (s) said: There is not a prayer that is attended on time except that an angel calls out from before the people: “Go to the fire that you have lit on your backs and extinguish it with your prayer.”
