The Dictations · Hadith 864 (#Ḥadīth #20)

20 - حدثني أبي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن الحسن المؤدب، عن أحمد بن علي الاصبهاني، عن إبراهيم بن محمد، قال: حدثنا محمد بن علي الصراف، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن الحسن الاشقر، عن علي بن هاشم، عن أبي رافع، عن محمد بن أبي بكر، عن عباد بن عبد الله، عن سلمان (رحمة الله عليه)، عن النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله)، قال: أقضى أمتي وأعلم أمتي بعدي علي (3).

My father narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. al-Hasan al-Mu’addab narrated to us from Ahmad b. `Ali al-Isfahani from Ibrahim b. Muhammad. He said: Muhammad b. `Ali al-Sarraf narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. al-Hasan al-Ashqar narrated to us from `Ali b. Hashim from Abi Rafi` from Muhammad b. Abi Bakr from `Abbad b. `Abdullah from Salman from the Prophet (s). He said: The best judge of my Nation and the most knowledgeable of my Nation after me is `Ali.
