The Dictations · Hadith 868 (#Ḥadīth #2)

2 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الحسن الصفار، عن يعقوب بن يزيد، عن محمد بن سنان، عن غياث بن إبراهيم، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من صام يوما تطوعا ابتغاء ثواب الله وجبت له المغفرة (2).

Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us from Ya`qub b. Yazid from Muhammad b. Sinan from Ghiyath b. Ibrahim from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever fasts a day piously, seeking the reward of Allah, forgiveness becomes obligatory for him.
