The Dictations · Hadith 896 (#Ḥadīth #4)

4 - حدثنا محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن حماد بن عثمان، عمن سمع أبا سيار يقول: سمعت أبا عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام) يقول: حاء جبرئيل (عليه السلام) إلى يوسف (عليه السلام) وهو في السجن، فقال: قل في دبر كل صلاة مفروضة: اللهم اجعل لي فرجا ومخرجا، وارزقني من حيث احتسب ومن حيث لا احتسب، ثلاث مرات (2).

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Hammad b. `Uthman from one who heard Aba Sayyar say: I heard Aba `Abdillah al-Sadiq say: Gabriel came to Yusuf when he was in prison and said: “After every obligatory prayer, say: ‘O Allah! Grant me relief and deliverance and give me sustenance from where I expect and from where I do not expect (Allahummaj`al li farajan wa makhrajan warzuqni min haythu ahtasibu wa man haythu la ahtasib)’ three times.”
