The Dictations · Hadith 904 (#Ḥadīth #12)

12 - حدثنا الحسين بن أحمد بن إدريس (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا الحسين ابن إسحاق التاجر، عن علي بن مهزيار، عن فضالة بن أيوب، عن إسماعيل بن أبي زياد، عن أبي عبد الله الصادق (عليه السلام)، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من تمنى شيئا وهو لله عز وجل رضا لم يخرج من الدنيا حتى يعطاه (2).

Al-Husayn b. Ahmad b. Idris narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Ishaq al-Tajir narrated to us from `Ali b. Mahziyar from Fadala b. Ayyub from Isma`il b. Abi Ziyad from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq from his forefathers . He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever wishes for a thing whilst being pleased with Allah will not leave this world until he is granted it.
