The Dictations · Hadith 93 (#Ḥadīth #3)
Chapter 14 | The Fourteenth Assembly, which is Tuesday, the Fifth of the Month of Ramadan, 367 AH.
3 - حدثنا محمد بن إبراهيم، قال: حدثنا علي بن سعيد العسكري، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن علي بن الاسود العجلي، قال: حدثنا عبد الحميد بن يحيى أبو يحيى الحماني (2)، قال: حدثنا أبو بكر الهذلي، عن الزهري، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله، عن ابن عباس، قال: كان رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) إذا دخل شهر رمضان أطلق كل أسير، وأعطى كل سائل (3).
Muhammad b. Ibrahim narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Sa`id al-`Askari narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. `Ali b. al-Aswad al-`Ijli narrated to us. He said: `Abd al-Hamid b. Yahya Abu Yahya al-Hamani narrated to us. He said: Abu Bakr al-Hadhali narrated to us from al-Zuhri from `Ubaydullah b. `Abdullah from Ibn `Abbas. He said: When the month of Ramadan would begin, the Messenger of Allah (s) would free every captive and give to every beggar.
