Chapter 89 | The Eighty-Ninth Assembly, the Assembly of Sunday, the First of Sha`ban, 368 AH, in the House of al-Sayyid Abi Muhammad Yahya b. Muhammad al-`Alawi
4 - حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن مسرور (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن محمد بن عامر، عن عمه عبد الله بن عامر، قال: حدثني أبو أحمد محمد بن زياد الازدي، عن المفضل بن عمر، قال: قال الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليه السلام): بلية الناس عظيمة، إن دعوناهم لم يجيبونا، وإن تركناهم لم يهتدوا بغيرنا (4).
Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Masrur narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Muhammad b. `Amer narrated to us from his uncle `Abdullah b. `Amer. He said: Abu Ahmad Muhammad b. Ziyad al-Azdi narrated to me from al-Mufaddal b. `Umar. He said: Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad said: The affliction of the people is great: if we call to them, they do not take heed to us; and if we abandon them, they will not be guided by other than us.
