أَمَرْتُكُمُ أَمْري بِمُنْعَرَجِ اللِّوَى *** فَلَمْ تَسْتَبِينُوا النُّصْحَ إِلاَّ ضُحَى الْغَدِ

I gave you my orders at Mun‘araji’l-liwã but you did not see the good of my counsel till the noon of next day (when it was too late). [3]
