The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 113 (#Ḥadīth #3)

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِیلَ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ الْحَکَمِ عَنْ سَیْفِ بْنِ عَمِیرَهَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ ظَرِیفٍ عَنِ الْأَصْبَغِ بْنِ نُبَاتَهَ قَالَ قَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَیَهُمُّ بِعَذَابِ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ جَمِیعاً لَا یُحَاشِی مِنْهُمْ أَحَداً إِذَا عَمِلُوا بِالْمَعَاصِی وَ اجْتَرَحُوا السَّیِّئَاتِ فَإِذَا نَظَرَ إِلَی الشِّیبِ نَاقِلِی أَقْدَامِهِمْ إِلَی الصَّلَاهِ وَ الْوِلْدَانِ یَتَعَلَّمُونَ الْقُرْآنَ رَحِمَهُمْ فَأَخَّرَ ذَلِکَ عَنْهُمْ.

3. Amirul Momineen says, “Whenever people of the earth commit sins or get involved in wrong deeds, the Almighty Allah intends to send down His chastisement on the people of the world. However when He sees elderly people praying and young children learning Quran, He feels pity on them and does not send down His chastisement.”
