The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 168 (#Ḥadīth #1)

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ أَبِی الْبِلَادِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِی الْحَسَنِ ع أَیُّ شَیْ ءٍ لِمَنْ صَلَّی صَلَاهَ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ لَوْ کَانَ عَلَیْهِ مِثْلُ رَمْلِ عَالِجٍ وَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ ذُنُوباً لَغَفَرَهَا اللَّهُ لَهُ قُلْتُ هَذِهِ لَنَا قَالَ فَلِمَنْ هِیَ إِلَّا لَکُمْ خَاصَّهً قَالَ قُلْتُ فَأَیَّ شَیْ ءٍ یَقْرَأُ فِیهَا مِنْ عَرْضِ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ لَا اقْرَأْ فِیهَا إِذا زُلْزِلَتِ وَ إِذا جاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَ إِنَّا أَنْزَلْناهُ فِی لَیْلَهِ الْقَدْرِ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ.

1. My father said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from his father from Ali b. Asbat from Ibrahim b. Abi al-Balad who said: The narrator asked Imam Musa Kadhim , “What is the reward of offering Salaat-e-Ja’far-e-Tayyar?” Imam replied, “Allah would forgive that person even if his sins are equal to the number of grains of sand or number of waves in the oceans.” The narrator asked, “Is this reward applicable for us?” Imam replied, “Of course, then for whom else? It is for you only.” The narrator asked, “Which Surah should be recited in this Salaat?” Imam replied, “Recite Idhaa zulzilat, idhaa jaa-a nas’rullaah, innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr and qul huwallaahu ah’ad.”
