Chapter 117 | Reward of paying Zakat

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَی بْنِ الْمُتَوَکِّلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ الْحُسَیْنِ السَّعْدَآبَادِیُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شِمْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ حَصِّنُوا أَمْوَالَکُمْ بِالزَّکَاهِ وَ دَاوُوا مَرْضَاکُمْ بِالصَّدَقَهِ وَ مَا تَلِفَ مَالٌ فِی بَرٍّ وَ لَا بَحْرٍ إِلَّا بِمَنْعِ الزَّکَاهِ.

3. The narrator says that he heard Imam Ja’far Sadiq say, “Protect your wealth with the help of Zakat. Cure the sick among you with the help of Sadaqah. And no wealth is lost in land or sea except of the one who does not pay Zakat.”
