Chapter 118 | Reward of Hajj and Umrah

وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع الْحَاجُّ یَصْدُرُونَ عَلَی ثَلَاثِ أَصْنَافٍ صِنْفٌ یُعْتَقُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ صِنْفٌ یَخْرُجُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ کَهَیْئَهِ یَوْمَ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ وَ صِنْفٌ یُحْفَظُ فِی أَهْلِهِ وَ مَالِهِ فَذَاکَ أَدْنَی مَا یَرْجِعُ بِهِ الْحَاجُّ.

9. Imam Ja’far Sadiq says, “The people who return from Hajj are of three types – some are freed from the fire of Hell, some become pure of their sins like they were on the day their mothers gave them birth and some protect their family and wealth. These are minimum benefits for a Hajj pilgrim.”
