The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 210 (#Ḥadīth #1)

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِیِّ عَنْ یُونُسَ بْنِ یَعْقُوبَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ ع قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِیُّ بْنُ الْحُسَیْنِ ع لِابْنِهِ مُحَمَّدٍ حِینَ حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاهُ إِنَّنِی قَدْ حَجَجْتُ عَلَی نَاقَتِی هَذِهِ عِشْرِینَ حِجَّهً فَلَمْ أَقْرَعْهَا بِسَوْطٍ قَرْعَهً فَإِذَا نَفَقَتْ فَادْفِنْهَا لَا یَأْکُلْ لَحْمَهَا السِّبَاعُ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ مَا مِنْ بَعِیرٍ یُوقَفُ عَلَیْهِ مَوْقِفَ عَرَفَهَ سَبْعَ حِجَجٍ إِلَّا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ نَعَمِ الْجَنَّهِ وَ بَارَکَ فِی نَسْلِهِ فَلَمَّا نَفَقَتْ حَفَرَ لَهَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع وَ دَفَنَهَا.

1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to us by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah al-Barqi from Yunis b. Ya’qub from al-Sadiq who said: Imam Ja’far Sadiq says that Imam Zainul Abideen willed to Imam Muhammad Baqir at the time of his martyrdom, “I have performed twenty Hajjs on this she- camel and have not whipped it even once. When it dies, bury it, so that animals do not feed upon its flesh because I have heard the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) say that there is no camel who halts at Arafah during Hajj for seven years except that Allah makes it a camel of Paradise and blesses its progeny.” When this she-camel died, Imam Muhammad Baqir buried it.
