Chapter 129 | Reward of a fast in the month of Shaban
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَهْزِیَارَ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَهَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ أَبِی زِیَادٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص شَعْبَانُ شَهْرِی وَ رَمَضَانُ شَهْرُ اللَّهِ وَ هُوَ رَبِیعُ الْفُقَرَاءِ وَ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْأَضْحَی لِشِبَعِ مَسَاکِینِکُمْ مِنَ اللَّحْمِ فَأَطْعِمُوهُمْ.
5. Imam Ja’far Sadiq narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Shaban is my month and Ramadan is the month of Allah. It is spring for the poor. The Almighty Allah has made Eid-ul-Azha so that poor get to eat meat and hence you should perform Qurbani and offer meat to them.”
