The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 273 (#Ḥadīth #5)
Chapter 138 | One should know that the Salaat of Eid can be offered in congregation only. One can offer Eid Salaat without congregation also for the following traditions support it:
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ حَرِیزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الصَّلَاهِ فِی الْفِطْرِ وَ الْأَضْحَی قَالَ لَیْسَ فِیهِمَا أَذَانٌ وَ لَا إِقَامَهٌ وَ لَیْسَ بَعْدَ الرَّکْعَتَیْنِ وَ لَا قَبْلَهُمَا صَلَاهٌ.
5. And from the previous chain from al-Hussain b. Sa’eed from Hamad b. Isa from Hareez from Muhammad b. Muslim who said: The narrator asked Imam Ja’far Sadiq regarding Salaat of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-e-Qurban. Imam replied, “There is no Azaan or Iqamah for them and there is no Salaat before and after these two rakats.”
