Chapter 218 | Reward of reciting Surah Waqiya

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زَیْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: مَنْ قَرَأَ الْوَاقِعَهَ کُلَّ لَیْلَهٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ یَنَامَ لَقِیَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ وَجْهُهُ کَالْقَمَرِ لَیْلَهَ الْبَدْرِ.

It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from al-Abbas from Hamad from ’Amru from Zayd al-Shaham from Abi Ja’far who said: One who recites Waqiya every night before going to sleep would meet Allah while his face would be like the moon on a full moon night.
