The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 482 (#Ḥadīth #6)

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ النَّبِیَّ ص صَلَّی عَلَی سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ وَافَی مِنَ الْمَلَائِکَهِ تِسْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَکٍ وَ فِیهِمْ جَبْرَئِیلُ ع یُصَلُّونَ عَلَیْهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ یَا جَبْرَئِیلُ بِمَا اسْتَحَقَّ صَلَاتَکَ عَلَیْهِ فَقَالَ بِقِرَاءَهِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ قَائِماً وَ قَاعِداً وَ رَاکِباً وَ مَاشِیاً وَ ذَاهِباً وَ جَائِیاً.

6. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ibrahim b. Hashim from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Ja’far b. Muhammad from his father who said: “His funeral prayer was attended by ninety thousand angels accompanied by Jibraeel . I asked Jibraeel , ‘Why did you people attend this funeral prayer?’ Jibraeel replied, ‘He used to recite Surah Tauheed while standing or sitting, riding or walking and while coming and going’.”
