Chapter 265 | Reward of abstinence from greater sins
أَبِی ره عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَیْلِ عَنْ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ع فِی قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- إِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا کَبائِرَ ما تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُکَفِّرْ عَنْکُمْ سَیِّئاتِکُمْ قَالَ مَنِ اجْتَنَبَ مَا أَوْعَدَ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ النَّارَ إِذَا کَانَ مُؤْمِناً کَفَّرَ عَنْهُ سَیِّئَاتِهِ.
2. Imam Ridha says regarding the verse ‘If you shun the great sins which you are forbidden, We will do away with your small, “One who abstains from those sins for which Allah has promised Hell, Allah will forgive his (lesser) sins.”
