The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 523 (#Ḥadīth #4)

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی الْهَیْثَمُ بْنُ أَبِی مَسْرُوقٍ النَّهْدِیُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ الْقَمَّاطٍ عَنْ شَیْخٍ کَانَ عِنْدَنَا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ لَأَنْ أُقْرِضَ قَرْضاً أَحَبُّ إِلَیَّ مِنْ [أَنْ] أصله [أَصِلَ] بِمِثْلِهِ وَ کَانَ یَقُولُ مَنْ أَقْرَضَ قَرْضاً فَضَرَبَ لَهُ أَجَلًا فَلَمْ یُؤْتَ بِهِ عِنْدَ ذَلِکَ الْأَجَلِ فَإِنَّ لَهُ مِنَ الثَّوَابِ فِی کُلِّ یَوْمٍ یَتَأَخَّرُ عَنْهُ ذَلِکَ الْأَجَلُ مِثْلَ صَدَقَهِ دِینَارٍ وَاحِدٍ فِی کُلِّ یَوْمٍ.

4. Imam Ja’far Sadiq said, “I like to give loan. One who loans and the money is not returned on the fixed day the creditor gets the reward of giving a dinar in charity for the delay of each day.”
