Chapter 293 | Reward of giving Sadaqah

وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ یَقْطِینٍ عَنْ أَخِیهِ الْحُسَیْنِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ الْأَوَّلِ ع فِی الرَّجُلِ یَکُونُ عِنْدَهُ الشَّیْ ءُ أَ یَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ أَفْضَلُ أَمْ یَشْتَرِی بِهِ فَقَالَ الصَّدَقَهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَیَّ.

10. Imam Musa Kadhim was asked, “Is it better for a rich person to give Sadaqah or to buy a slave and free him?” Imam replied, “I prefer Sadaqah.”
