Chapter 293 | Reward of giving Sadaqah
وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ سَعْدَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ: أَتَی سَائِلٌ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَشِیَّهَ الْخَمِیسِ فَسَأَلَهُ فَرَدَّهُ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَی جُلَسَائِهِ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّ عِنْدَنَا مَا یُتَصَدَّقُ عَلَیْهِ وَ لَکِنَّ الصَّدَقَهَ یَوْمَ الْجُمُعَهِ تُضَاعَفُ أَضْعَافاً.
23. And from the previous chain from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from his father from Sa’dan b. Muslim from Abdillah b. Sinan who said: It is narrated that a beggar came to Imam Ja’far Sadiq on Thursday night. Imam returned him empty-handed and told the people present there, “I had enough money to give him as Sadaqah but Sadaqah given on Friday carries multiple rewards.”
