Chapter 297 | Reward of giving Sadaqah during day

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَمِیلَهَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ [قَالَ] سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ صَدَقَهُ النَّهَارِ تُمِیتُ الْخَطِیئَهَ کَمَا یُمِیتُ الْمَاءُ الْمِلْحَ وَ صَدَقَهُ اللَّیْلِ تُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ الرَّبِّ.

1. It is narrated that Imam Ja’far Sadiq said, “Sadaqah given during day dissolves sins like water dissolves salt. Giving Sadaqah at night cools the anger of the Lord.”
