The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 571 (#Ḥadīth #1)

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ یَحْیَی الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّازِیِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیِّ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَیْمَانَ الْبَصْرِیِّ عَنْ دَاوُدَ الرَّقِّیِّ عَنِ الریان [الرَّبَابِ] امْرَأَتِهِ قَالَتْ اتَّخَذْتُ خَبِیصاً فَأَدْخَلْتُهُ إِلَی أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع وَ هُوَ یَأْکُلُ فَوَضَعْتُ الْخَبِیصَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْهِ وَ کَانَ یُلَقِّمُ أَصْحَابَهُ فَسَمِعْتُهُ یَقُولُ مَنْ لَقَّمَ مُؤْمِناً لُقْمَهَ حَلَاوَهٍ صَرَفَ اللَّهُ بِهَا عَنْهُ مَرَارَهَ یَوْمِ الْقِیَامَهِ.

1. Dawood Raqqi narrates that his wife Rabab said: I prepared a sweet dish of dates and took it to Imam Ja’far Sadiq . He ate it himself as well as offered it to his companions. She heard him say, “One who offers a morsel of sweet to a believer, Allah will keep the bitterness of the Day of Judgment away from him.”
