Chapter 382 | Reward of wearing cornelian (Aqiq) ring

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِیمَ بْنِ عُقْبَهَ عَنْ سَیَابَهَ بْنِ أَیُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحِیمِ الْقَصِیرِ قَالَ: بَعَثَ الْوَالِی إِلَی رَجُلٍ مِنْ آلِ أَبِی طَالِبٍ فِی حیاته [جِنَایَهٍ] فَمَرَّ بِأَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَقَالَ أَتْبِعُوهُ بِخَاتَمِ عَقِیقٍ قَالَ فَأُتْبِعَ بِخَاتَمِ عَقِیقٍ فَلَمْ یَرَ مَکْرُوهاً.

2. My father said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ya’qub b. Yazid from Ibrahim b. ’Uqba from Sayabeh b. Ayoob’ from Muhammad b. al-Fadhl from Abd al-Raheem al-Qaseer who said: “Give a cornelian ring to him.” The order of Imam was obeyed and a ring was given to him. And because of this, he didn’t have to face any harm from that unjust ruler.”
