Chapter 382 | Reward of wearing cornelian (Aqiq) ring

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَی الْخَشَّابُ عَنْ عَقِیلِ بْنِ الْمُتَوَکِّلِ الْمَکِّیِّ یَرْفَعُهُ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ صَاغَ خَاتَماً عَقِیقاً فَنَقَشَ فِیهِ مُحَمَّدٌ نَبِیُّ اللَّهِ وَ عَلِیٌّ وَلِیُّ اللَّهِ وَقَاهُ اللَّهُ مِیتَهَ السَّوْءِ وَ لَمْ یَمُتْ إِلَّا عَلَی الْفِطْرَهِ.

7. My father said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah who said it was narrated to me by al-Hassan b. Musa al-Khashab from ’Aqeel b. al-Mutawakil al-Makki who raised it to from Ja’far b. Muhammad from his father from his grandfather who said: Imam Ja’far Sadiq narrates from his predecessors that: “One who wears a ring inscribed ‘Muh’ammadun nabiyyullaahi wa a’liyyunw waliyyullaah’ Allah will save him from unpleasant death and he will die a natural death only.”
