Chapter 406 | Reward of doing good
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِیِّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ یَرْفَعُ الْحَدِیثَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِی الدُّنْیَا أَهْلُ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِی الْآخِرَهِ قِیلَ یَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَ کَیْفَ ذَلِکَ قَالَ یُغْفَرُ لَهُمْ بِالتَّطَوُّلِ مِنْهُ عَلَیْهِمْ وَ یَدْفَعُونَ حَسَنَاتِهِمْ إِلَی النَّاسِ فَیَدْخُلُونَ بِهَا الْجَنَّهَ فَیَکُونُونَ أَهْلَ الْمَعْرُوفِ فِی الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَهِ.
1. My father said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah al-Barqi from his father who raised the hadith who said: “A person who does good in the world is like a person who does good in the hereafter.” Someone asked, “O Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.)! How is it possible?” He replied, “He will be forgiven by the mercy of Allah. His good deeds will be given to other people also and they will be made to enter Paradise. Hence he will be doing good in the world as well as the hereafter.”
