Chapter 411 | Reward of not begging inspite of difficulties

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ یَحْیَی عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَلِیٍّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع رَحِمَ اللَّهُ عَبْداً عَفَّ وَ تَعَفَّفَ وَ کَفَّ عَنِ الْمَسْأَلَهِ فَإِنَّهُ یُعَجِّلُ الذُّلَّ فِی الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَهِ وَ لَا یُغْنِی النَّاسُ عَنْهُ شَیْئاً.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq said, “May Allah shower mercy on His virtuous and pious servant who did not beg inspite of difficulties even though he was troubled in this world and his desires were not fulfilled.”
