Chapter 44 | Reward of dyeing one’s hair

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیِّ بْنِ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ سَعِیدِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ عَنْ سُلَیْمَانَ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْجَعْفَرِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی الْحَسَنِ ع قَالَ: الْخِضَابُ بِالسَّوَادِ زِینَهٌ لِلنِّسَاءِ مَکْبَتَهٌ لِلْعَدُوِّ.

5. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ali b. Majluwayh from Muhammad b. Abi al-Qasim from Ahmad b. Abi Abdillah from Mansur b. al-Abbas from Sa’eed b. Janah from Sulayman b. Ja’far al-Ja’fari from Abi al-Hassan who said: “Black dye is the cause of beauty for women and a cause of defeat of enemies.”
