The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 811 (#Ḥadīth #20)

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ یَرْفَعُهُ إِلَی سَعِیدٍ الْمُکَارِی عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع أَصْبَحَ عَدُوُّنَا عَلَی شَفَا حُفْرَهٍ قَدْ تَهَاوَتْ بِهِ فِی نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتَعْساً لِأَهْلِ النَّارِ وَ بِئْسَ مَثْوَاهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ یَقُولُ- فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَی الْمُتَکَبِّرِینَ وَ مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ یَقْصُرُ [عَنْ] حُبِّنَا بِخَیْرٍ إِلَّا جعل [جَعَلَهُ] اللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ.

20. Imam Ja’far Sadiq narrates that Amirul Momineen said, “Our enemy is standing at the edge of the pit of Hell and will surely enter Hell and the hellish will be destroyed. It is a bad place for them as Almighty Allah has said: so certainly evil is the dwelling place of the proud.28 There is no such person who is granted goodness by Allah and does not love us.”
