Chapter 18 | Punishment of the proud
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ الْکُوفِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی جَمِیلَهَ الْمُرَادِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: الْکِبْرِیَاءُ رِدَاءُ اللَّهِ فَمَنْ نَازَعَهُ شَیْئاً مِنْ ذَلِکَ کَبَّهُ اللَّهُ فِی النَّارِ.
2. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ali Majluwayh from his uncle Muhammad b. Abi al-Qasim from Muhammad b. Ali al-Kufi from Abi Jameela al-Muradi from Abi Abdillah who said: “Pride is a divine dress (suitable only for Allah) and those who compete in this matter will be hung in Hell by Allah.”
