Chapter 26 | Punishment of false testimony
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ الْحَکَمِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ الْأَحْمَرِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ مِیثَمٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ شَهِدَ شَهَادَهَ زُورٍ عَلَی مَالِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ لِیَقْطَعَهُ إِلَّا کَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَهُ مَکَانَهُ ضَنْکاً إِلَی النَّارِ.
2. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from Ahmad b. Muhammad from Ali b. al-Hakam from Aban al-Ahmar from a man from Salih b. Maytham from Abi Abdillah who said: “If a Muslim testifies falsely against the property of another Muslim and deprives him of it, Allah will write the punishment of Hell for his hereafter.”
