Chapter 27 | Punishment of taking Allah’s oath falsely

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَهَ بْنِ مَیْمُونٍ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ الْأَحْمَرِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَی یَمِینٍ وَ هُوَ یَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ کَاذِبٌ فَقَدْ بَارَزَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq said, “One who takes Allah’s oath knowing that he is lying, it is as if he has waged a war against Allah.”
