Chapter 27 | Punishment of taking Allah’s oath falsely

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَیْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَیْمُونٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص الْیَمِینُ الصَّبْرُ الْفَاجِرَهُ تَدَعُ الدِّیَارَ بَلَاقِعَ.

4. Imam Ja’far Sadiq narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Taking false oaths in case of helplessness causes entire cities to become vacant of its residents.”
